Monsul beach- Remember Indiana Jones.

This is Monsul beach, one of the best beaches in Spain.

The beach is located 3.5km south of San Jose in the Cabo de Gata National Park. It is a 400 meters length beach divided into two parts by a curious tombolo which features beautiful sea erosion.

Its magnificent sands are developed on both sides of this fossil prominence and there is a huge mobile dune close to the creek.

The water is not very deep and children can enjoy the quality of its crystal clear water, see fishes swimming around their legs. The mountain that reaches the beach, has a rock, ideal for those who like climbing. And its shadow protects from the sun.

This beach could not be more attractive thanks to the quality of its waters.
The beach is also famous as it was a natural set for Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade film.

‘Deal or Dud’? Fox 4 in Dallas talks about ST550(TL225)

After Europe, US pays attention on Samsung ST550(TL225) now. On October 14th, Fox 4 News in Dallas introduced ST550(TL225) at ‘Deal or Dud’ section.

Steve Noviello, host of ‘Deal or Dud’, mentioned lots of compliments on Samsung’s 2View digital camera, ST550(TL225) especially about Children Mode.

Most people have difficulties when they take pictures by themselves – no help from strangers. When Steve went out for street interview with the camera, he let people compare two pictures that they took by themselves. People took two pictures, one without front LCD screen and the other one with front LCD screen on. Most of them satisfied on picture that they took with front LCD screen on, except when they took it under the sunlight – sunlight made LCD screen invisible.

Even children had happy time with animations showed on front LCD screen. Parents said that they have hard times when they try to make children smile in front of camera. After testing ST550(TL225), they all satisfied about the picture they took of their children’s photos.

Overall, ST550(TL225) had a good show time in US. Steve compared the price of ST550(TL225) with other ordinary 12 megapixel digital camera and closed the program with saying, “Spend it wisely.”

ST1000(CL65) is a new life-log digital camera with built-in GPS

Samsung’s new product ST1000(CL65), change the photographic paradigm.

I’m so delighted to receive the gold black one that I wanted the most of the five colors for the ST1000(CL65). The ST1000(CL65) is a new life-log digital camera with built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The product is not released yet but I had a great chance to receive a marketing sample.

From the front, you can see 12.2M pixels, 5x zoom, Schneider inner zoom lens, GPS and etc. The size of the Samsung ST1000(CL65) is 99.8mm * 60.8mm * 18.9mm. It felt comfortable in even my big hand.

From the rear, you can see 3.5 inch wide touch screen. It felt so good to the touch.

I was very surprised at the GPS function, which I like the most from the ST1000(CL65). However, if you turn on the GPS, the battery will quickly drain, so you might need a spare battery for a trip. 

That was my short preview of the SAMSUNG ST1000(CL65). Although I still need to learn a lot, I’ll try my best to take a good picture as many as possible with the SAMSUNG ST1000(CL65).

Winner of ‘Observeur du Design Award’, Samsung C10!

On October 22nd, APCI(Agency for the Promotion of Industrial Creation) proceeded ‘Observeur du Design Award’ in Paris, France.

APCI is the group that France government built in 1983 for industry and culture of France. Purpose of this group is promoting French design in France and abroad. They also work for design schools and agencies in France to develope their design skills.

APCI holds ‘Observeur du Design Award’ every year to award to the most innovative designed product. And guess what? Samsung SMX-C10 camcorder won the 1st prize out of 1500 competitive products this year!

SMX-C10 camcorder was rewarded for strong brand visibility and contributing to educate the general public on design.

APCI also processed competition for ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) label from June. 15 Samsung products received this label so they are now going to be displayed at the Cité des Sciences & de l’Industrie for 3 months, from October 2009 to February 2010.

ST550(TL225) has been selected as one of ‘8 Great Extra(neous) Gadget Screens’

Writer for GIZMODO, a technology weblog, wrote an article ‘8 Great Extra(neous) Gadget Screens’ for a title and Samsung ST550(TL225) has been selected for one of them.

In this article, the writer, John Herrman, mentions about what kind of gadgets have something special about their ‘extra screens’. Since Samsung ST550(TL225) has dual LCD screens, it displays the middle of the article too.

John wrote that ST550(TL225) looks pretty ordinary when it switched off. However, it turns to ‘odd-looking’ camera when it switched on with forward-facing second display. He also mentioned about its special features with front LCD screen such as animation displays for children and countdown display for group shot.

Many people love self-portrait in these days but they are having trouble with taking it – and this was the main point that Samsung focused on when they created this product. John describes those people as ‘MySpace-style self-portraiture’ in the article. Finally, Samsung created ST550(TL225) and ST500(TL220) to solve those troubles. LCD screen shows people’s faces in front of the camera and that will help people to take better self-portrait.

Samsung is honored to be in ‘8 Great Extra(neous) Gadget Screens’ and will try to produce better product for customers.

Jimmy Kimmel introduced Samsung ST550(TL225) in his show!

Samsung’s new digital camera, ST550(TL225) has been introduced by Jimmy Kimmel in ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on September 17th.

Jimmy Kimmel and his friend YaYa, who takes photos of celebrities often, talked about having trouble of taking self-portrait with celebrities. YaYa showed some pictures that he took with Will Smith, Elizabeth Taylor, and Jessica Simpson but those pictures were not in focus so audience could not recognize who they are. So his good friend Jimmy suggested Samsung’s brand new dual LCD camera, ST550(TL225) to YaYa. It not only had good design with compact size, but also had another LCD screen in front of the camera which is perfect for self-portrait. Jimmy and YaYa took their self-portrait during the show and that trial made YaYa really wanted to have one!

Since this ‘dual LCD screens’ is the world’s first digital camera made from Samsung, ST550(TL225) is getting popular day by day. As the result, ST550(TL225) already has been sold almost 300,000 in 8 weeks after they showed up in London, New York, Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul, and other major cities.

Also, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ is not the only TV show that this product showed up. America’s famous TV show, ‘The View’ also introduced ST500(TL220) which is exactly same as ST550(TL225) but just has smaller size of front LCD screen.
